- Phase 1 – Baseline survey in 2006, final report January 2007
- Phase 2 – Campaign testing, implementation and evaluation during 2007
- Professional stakeholder consultation on transport policy, priorities, new travel plan guidance, general TravelWise activities. Consultation with local employers on the TravelWise programme of support.
- Planners consultation on new policy for planning and new developments control; arrangements for managing and implementing travel plans; identify potentials for MIDAS case study.
- Public consultation through extensive market research, in two phases:
- Evaluation (“before” and “after”)
- Focus Groups (Phase 1 above)
- Hall Tests (Phase 2 above)
- Large scale survey (autumn 06)
- Data from LTP monitoring
- Implementation of soft and associated measures
- Travel awareness campaigns (Liverpool Car Club, Car Free Day, Car Share Campaign)
- Cycle training initiative
- New Planning Guidance and training of the planners in support of “Smarter Choices”
- Employers Forum – contributed to a new online survey facility developed as a result of market research with the business community.
